About the Couple
"Pedro and I met in late 2020 in an Irish pub in Lisbon, where Pedro was born and raised. I was living in Madrid at the time getting a masters degree and had taken a weekend trip with a classmate to Lisbon. Over the next year we flew back and forth between Madrid and Lisbon (to the extent Covid restrictions allowed our travel), and in November 2021 Pedro and I moved into an apartment in Manhattan, where I began working as an associate at a law firm and Pedro began working for a general contractor as a structural and civil engineer. When my 5th year college reunion came around, Pedro and I drove down to Lexington, VA, where he proposed to me on November 3, 2023 privately on the Washington and Lee Colonnade. After the proposal, we made our way back to the tent where all of my college friends were gathered, where we got to break the fun surprise that we were engaged!" - Bianca

“Pedro proposed to me with a gorgeous 2.9ct brilliant cut round diamond, on a yellow gold band. Growing up in the business, I always had my eye on engagement rings, but it wasn't until summer 2023 that I went with my mom to try on rings for myself to figure out the style I really wanted. My ring is extra special to me because it was a family project - my mom was there when I found my style, Pedro guided my dad in the design based on the hints I'd dropped over the months preceding our engagement, and my dad worked with Pedro to choose the diamonds. What is even more amazing is that they did all of this right under my nose, as Pedro and I were living with my parents at the time of my engagement, and yet the engagement timing itself was a complete surprise." - Bianca
